same goes for san jose. we've got good air quality courtesy of the showers that rolled through last week and there is more rain on the way as we get into the second halftime of the week. we're at 46 in oakland right now, 44 in san mateo, 48 degrees in san francisco and 39 degrees in monterey. as we head throughout the day today, temperatures are going to struggle to reach the mi 60s by noon but it will happen. it's a little chilly this morning so it will take a while for that cool air to mix out. more importantly we have showers on the radar this morning. also expecting more of that activity about 6:00 a.m. grab your umbrella up there. expecting some drizzle. but areas to the south of the golden gate bridge should stay nice and dry. we'll see those clouds clear out by about noon and look at our numbers today. 72, just perfect in livermore. 69 degrees in fremont and 69 right here in san jose. seven-day outlook tells the story. we'll tell you when the rain is slated to hit the house. first we want to check you

a developing story in san jose. a police officer now injured and an all out manhunt for an armed robbery suspect continues after a shootout on city streets. it started last night on highway 101 near highway 280 when officers spotted two men in a car that looked like one used in four robberies during the day. when they tried to pull the car over, they led the officers on a chase. at that intersection, one suspect got out of the car and started shooting, grazing an officer as he ducked for recover. another officer shot back, hitting one of the suspects. that suspect ran away and was later caught in a nearby neighborhood and expected to survive. the other suspect ran away and is still on the loose. the suspects are believed to be involved in a crime spree including armed robberies in a gas station, a pizza parlor and a fast food restaurant scattered throughout the city. police are investigating the 42nd homicide of the year. officers say a man was shot and killed in a parking lot of a 7-11 store on kiely boulevard in w

nap fa 71 in san jose, also at 70. now let's get you into the current numbers. widespread 60s on the board, even starting to drop into the 60s in novato. let's bring you outside on this wednesday. and i sure hoped you enjoyed it. the past two days have been sunny. a little bit above average, clear skies. not too much in the way of fog. but that's all going to be quickly changing. this active pattern is already shaping up out here offshore. what we're noticing is subtropical moisture moving up from the south. we're not going to get too much from this. it's this storm system. you can already see the counterclockwise rotation wit. it's tapping into a decent amount of moisture. and there is also some aggressive energy in the jet stream that could be good enough to even fire off some thunderstorms. and it's not only our storm system we're tracking out here for friday, but another storm system on sunday that will also be lining up. and really, the huge thing about these two storm systems in three days is they'll come really in quick succession. so we can't even rule o
